Patrick O. Connelly

A Life in History and Global Trade

Born in Berlin, N.H., raised in Rochester, N.H. Graduated from Holy Rosary High School in 1964. Following an eight-year military career, which included two years in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War, the author completed, between May 1972 and December 1974, double major honors programs in History and French at the University of Texas at Austin.

The author pursued a business career spanning fifty years, primarily in global trade and risk management with multicultural development experience, holding chief credit executive roles at Wang Laboratories, Sperry/UNISYS, and Tech Data Corporation, and founding the Tao Institute for Credit and Risk Management. He has taught international business and trade as faculty and adjunct faculty at universities in the United States and China.

In 2016, original town records previously under the author's care were returned with bound transcription to significant acclaim, prompting commitment to finish ongoing research resulting in the current historical series on colonial Rochester, New Hampshire. Recent works include In Their Own Words (2024) and Rochester, New Hampshire: Territory to Township (2024), plus numerous articles in Credit Management Magazine and international publications.
